Ringkasan Keahlian

Berdasarkan publikasi terbaru, keahlian akademik Muhammad Taufik menunjukkan pergeseran signifikan dari riset pangan fungsional dan nutrisi menuju evaluasi kebijakan publik, terapi regeneratif, dan pengelolaan limbah industri. Pada periode 2022–2026, fokus utamanya adalah implementasi kebijakan rehabilitasi korban narkotika di Sumatera Utara, keamanan dan efektivitas terapi sel punca mesenkimal tali pusat untuk iskemia kronis, serta dampak pasokan listrik pada elektro-presipitasi nikel dari limbah elektronik. Riset sebelumnya (2018–2021) banyak berkutat pada komposisi nutrisi biji kenaf, madu lebah tanpa sengat, serta efek neuroprotektif minyak sawit dan tokoferol pada hewan model, termasuk studi tentang diabetes, obesitas, dan antioksidan. Meskipun demikian, jejak riset lama masih relevan sebagai konteks kesinambungan, terutama dalam hal metodologi eksperimental dan pendekatan multidisiplin. Kini, Taufik lebih menonjolkan riset terapan yang berorientasi pada solusi sosial dan klinis, seperti evaluasi regulasi daerah dan terapi kombinasi revaskularisasi endovaskular dengan sel punca. Pergeseran ini mencerminkan perluasan objek kajian dari pangan dan nutrisi ke isu kesehatan masyarakat, kebijakan publik, serta teknologi lingkungan. Dengan demikian, arah riset mutakhir Taufik lebih bersifat intervensi langsung pada masalah sosial dan klinis, meninggalkan fokus sebelumnya pada bahan alami dan nutrisi hewan model.
